"It’s always great to host these workshops in the studios and galleries where our artists create their own work.” says Executive Director, Mark Macrides. “Children can experience a working artist’s environment firsthand and learn from professional and practicing artists. We are grateful for the generous donations from supportive community members that make this rich array of workshops possible.” This year we are happy to offer 10 workshops over the course of 7 summer Saturdays.
Registration is required and will be available Saturday, June 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Sunday, June 2 from 1 – 4 PM at 575 Pacific Street in Stamford. A 5$ non-refundable registration fee will be charged. Registration is limited to 2 workshops per child. For directions and more information visit loftartists.org.
For over 40 years, the Loft Artists Association has operated as a non-profit organization dedicated to building connections within Fairfield County’s visual arts community and exposing the public high quality contemporary art. The organization has a membership of over 40 highly skilled, established and emerging professional artists. Their community events attract thousands of visitors throughout the tristate area and gain recognition from funding agencies, including the Connecticut Commission on the Arts, corporate and private sponsors, the City of Stamford and by visitors who return year after year.
The mission of the LAA is to provide artists with a supportive environment, opportunities to exhibit their work, and networking opportunities while reaching out to the community at
large with education and artistic expression. LAA members exhibit their work locally, nationally, and internationally.
