STAMFORD, CT - Mark Greenbaum, owner of Greenbomb Studios, is the Creative Director of ‘Space Invasion!’ - An Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit currently on display in Stamford Downtown. Mark runs a small design company just outside of Boston and has had designs chosen for the past five sculpture exhibits for the Stamford Downtown Special Services District. This year, he was hired as the Creative Director and Graphic Designer for the exhibition. He was tasked with creating the theme of the exhibit, designing the casts and producing the branding and marketing material.

“As I have worked on previous exhibits, I know what the artists are looking for in terms of a Sculpture they want to work with. Although many artists like to work outside of the box, it helps to have a theme that they can choose to follow or be inspired by. It’s also important to have a shape that provides a good canvas so that a variety of concepts can be clearly conveyed”. The theme for this year’s exhibit ‘Space Invasion!’ was inspired by the iconic spacecrafts from1950’s sci-fi movies. Mark created three dynamic designs and a total of 30 Sculptures were produced by Nebraska based manufacturing company, Icon Poly. Each sculpture is approximately eight feet tall.

“Mark has created an attractive and original graphic theme for the exhibit which is being thoroughly enjoyed by the public. We‘ve already received a lot of compliments and many people are sharing the spacecraft images on social media” says Annette Einhorn, Director of Marketing & Events at Stamford Downtown. “ Mark is a very talented designer and we love his vision for this year’s exhibit. His experience and problem solving throughout the project as creative director has been a great asset and we are looking forward to working with him again.”

Over 65 artists entered the competition and of those, 30 of the most creative designs were chosen by the judges panel. The Sculptures are on display in Stamford Downtown from June until September 2019, when they will be auctioned off - with a portion of the proceeds going to the Veterans Park Initiative.

“It’s been a pleasure working with Stamford Downtown on this Exhibit. I got to exercise a lot of creative muscles in this project, from animation to 3D sculpture but the best part is helping to create art that everyone can enjoy for free. I hope it brightens up everyone’s daily commute, inspires young creatives and helps to draw more attention to Stamford Downtown. This city really understands the value in public art and is proactive in promoting local artists whilst giving their residents and visitors something to enjoy.”

Greenbomb Studios offers a variety of creative services, from logo design and branding to character illustration and marketing materials. He also specializes in toy design and packaging.
