Norwalk Community Health Center, Inc. (NCHC) is pleased to announce a slate of free activities and events for its patients and the public, to mark 2018 National Health Center Week. Unless otherwise noted, all activities take place at 120 Connecticut Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854.

For NCHC patients (newborn to senior) who may sometimes struggle to make ends meet, the comprehensive nonprofit health care provider is requesting donations of new or gently worn clothing (maternity/newborn & infant/children/adults), diapers, new baby and new parent items, children's books, and non-perishable food items. For NCHC’s Medical Mobile Unit, donations are urgently needed for summer and winter 'survival kit' items for men and women (trial size person hygiene items, dry shampoo, sunscreen), caps or sun hats and sunglasses, single serving packaged snacks, socks, gloves, warm coats, scarves. Donated items should be brought to NCHC’s reception desk in the lobby. Hours are 8 am – 8 pm Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm Friday and 9 am to 12 noon Saturday.

The emphasis during Health Center Week at NCHC is on preventive health and wellness for its 14,000 patients and the Greater Norwalk communities it serves. Daily themes are: Get Moving Monday, Community Partners Day Tuesday, Healthy Food For Thought Wednesday and Healthy Back to School Thursday. Details and daily event updates can be found on NCHC’s facebook page: https://facebook.com/norwalkchc. NCHC relies on patient fees, grants and contributions to carry out its mission and respond to evolving community needs. Learn more about NCHC at www.norwalkchc.org.
